All our Palythoa are rested for at least 1 month prior to shipping, by this time they will be fully attached to the frag plug of their own accord and will most likely have started to grow 'pup' polyps around the base.

Description:

A real 'old school' coral. Once a staple in most aquaria, nowadays rarely seen. Unusual in that all its polyps are joined high up their stems and the oral disks do not open fully, giving a cup like appearance. Large polyps are capable of reaching the size of a 20p piece. Very unique when grown out in a large mat. Vivid green inside the 'cups' on the oral disk of the polyps. Great for a bit of interesting structure.

Care

Easy under normal reef parameters, thrives under most lighting and flow variations. Great as a gap filler in areas other corals refuse to thrive in. Blue lighting highlights their vivid green interior.
