Description:

A flat encrusted 20mm plug if this absolutely unique, hardy octagonal. Thats right for all its looks and calcium carbonate skeleton it is a SOFT CORAL! What it lacks is colouration it makes up for with its amazing growth patterns, dainty polyps.

An absolute oddity in the coral world, never seen anymore due to strong CITES legislation on its import nowadays. These frags are cut from a colony we have had well over 20 years!!

You dont get anymore obscure than this species, acting and looking like an SPS, building a solid calcium carbonate skeleton, that is BRIGHT BLUE, under the flesh. (One of the reasons now heavily controlled in the wild due to overcollection for the jewelry trade).

We couldn't wax lyrical about this species all day as its just such a unusual soft coral, best to just Google some images of it, you will be amazed!
