Palythoa grandis ("Psychadelic")

Psychadelic Palythoa grandis 

All our Palythoa are rested for at least 1 month prior to shipping, by this time they will be fully attached to the frag plug of their own accord and will most likely have started to grow 'pup' polyps around the base.

Description:

An absolutely unmistakable soft coral. HUGE heads, capable of attaining the diameter of a golfball!! Reminiscent of a Venus fly trap. Very variable in colour and pattern between polyps but usually sporting a purple mouth and an oral disk 'splashed' with different tones of baby-blue, giving way to a bright green outer with characteristic spoked scelerites.

The largest of the palythoa species, capable of reaching the diameter of a golfball

Care

Very easy under normal reef parameters, thrives under most lighting and flow variations. Prefering medium flow and medium light. Brighter light results in smaller polyps with more blue colouration accross them.
