Zoanthids ("Purple Bees")

All our Zoanthids are rested for at least 1 month prior to shipping, by this time they will be fully attached to the frag plug of their own accord and will most likely have started to grow 'pup' polyps around the base.

Description:

A larger zoanthid. Very hardy and tolerant of most lighting and flow requirements. Providing a great gap filler for less hospitable areas in your aquarium, on its own or as part of "Zoanthid garden". A small mouth, often tinged with vivid green. A purple oral disk with lilac-pink inner and random speckles of this lighter colouration throughout the oral disk. Extremely variable in colour dependant upon lighting. Under bright light the polyps can appear almost a solid, light pink. Under less intense lighting the polyps appear a dark purple with only occasional 'splashes and speckles' of the lighter purple colour.

Size

A larger zoanthis with polyps capable if reaching over the size of a 5p piece.

Very easy under normal reef parameters, thrives under most lighting and flow variations.
