Sinularia asterolobata mint green
Our soft corals will actively be growing onto the frag plug or rock rubble of their own accord, not simply glued onto plugs once cut. We leave all our softies 8 weeks to fully attached their stems to substrate before selling.
Description:
A lovely branching structural soft coral. From afar you could be forgiven mistaking it for a stony acropora, like 'Bali slimer' on closer inspection you can see the branches adorned with hundreds of small 'fluffy' polyps. Giving rise to one of its common names 'shaggy sinularia'. We frag a few different colour morphs of this species, this is the brightest green one and grows with a more branched form.
Size
Expanded frags are around 6cm, be aware as with most soft corals, after shipping they can close and deflate to look little more than a small blob of green jelly.
Care
Undemanding but shows a lot of variation in how much it opens up and settles dependant upon flow and lighting. Whilst it will adapt to most conditions, medium flow and medium to high lighting result in it looking best.
Growth
Moderate to fast
Minimum polyp count per frag
