All our Zoanthids are rested for at least 1 month prior to shipping, by this time they will be fully attached to the frag plug of their own accord and will most likely have started to grow 'pup' polyps around the base.

Description:

We love these zoas and are baffled as to why they aren't one if our best sellers! We believe the reason is we photograph our corals under a whiter spectrum of light as we hate the practice of using filters to photograph corals under blue light. These really are one if those zoas that are 'chalk and cheese' seen under white light ad then under blue!

Universal to all lighting spectrums these zoanthids carry lovely crisp distinct markings. However that is where the similarity ends. Under white light these zias often look washed out and predominantly brown/tan in colour. Throw some blue light into the mix though and wow! The crisp markings reveal a piercing light blue mouth, and the double ringed pattern takes on a bright golden-yellow colour, often showing a faint teal ring on its outer and faint range band on its inner. All this is complemented by a large polyp size and long 'curly' lashes.

 One of thelarger zoanthids, heads easily capable of reaching 5p piece sized with large thick stalks.

Care

Easy under normal reef parameters, thrives under most lighting and flow vvariations.frequires some blue light to really bring its best colours out.
